FITNESS ASSESSMENT

This is the most streamlined assessment that we use to capture your full metabolic profile, and the optimal choice for one’s first experience with exercise testing. We use a gold-standard metabolic measuring system to sample respiratory gas exchange during exercise. This provides key metrics of VO2max, anaerobic threshold, FATmax, and training zones. All of which are applied to customizing your exercise, training, and nutrition recommendations.

TEST RESULTS INCLUDE:

  • Body profile measurement

  • Identification of key metabolic thresholds to establish training zones

  • Caloric expenditure at varying levels of intensity

  • Fuel utilization (contributions of fat and carbohydrate) during exercise

  • Measurement of cardiorespiratory fitness, VO2 max

  • Maximal aerobic power

  • Cycling or Running Economy

These variables allow us to make customized exercise/training and nutrition recommendations and/or training plans and track adaptations throughout a season. Each test is followed by a one-on-one consultation with an exercise physiologist.
