eSkills

eSkills is our bike handling skills program. We use several modalities to teach you the variables involved in becoming a safer and more confident bike handler.
Safety is the most number one reason bike handling skills are important. Understanding how your bike steers, descends and stops quickly will make you a safer rider. From there we move on to address performance bike handling variables that will help you climb and descend faster and be more comfortable in group rides.
This depends on your experience. We like to start beginners inside on fixed trainers to teach them the fundamental of techniques in and out of the saddle pedaling. From there we move on to roller training to emphasize how pedaling and weight distribution affects bike balance and movement. Once these basic fundamentals are understood and practiced in a controlled environment we move outside with private or semi-private skills clinics where we can customize the time to work on specific skills.
Besides the basic fundamentals of balance and pedaling we recommend learning the following basics skills

  • Safe descending and cornering. Learning how a bike corners and how to safely approach corners on flat roads and descents
  • Gear shifting. Learning how to use the gears on your bike and when to shift.
  • Group riding. Learn how to draft and reduce anxiety when riding in close proximity to other cyclists
  • Advanced group riding. Learn to ride in double pace lines and echelons.
